How long does the installation take?
The whole installation process is divided in to four elements: 1. We will meet with you to discuss options and assess the potential of your roof. 2. We will provide you with a detailed quote and contract including a cool-off period 3. We agree on a suitable date for the installation and order the materials 4. We will arrive with the solar team on the agreed day and carry out the installation within 2-3 days How much disruption will be caused during the installation process?
We endeavour to cause as little disruption as possible, for both you and your neighbours. To facilitate the installation, temporary scaffolding will need to be erected on the side of the building beneath the chosen roof space to provide a safe working platform. Inside your house we will need to install a cable connecting your new micro-generator to the consumer unit and fit the inverter with its switch gear in a suitable location.
Will it damage my roof?
We pride ourselves on our expertise and make every effort to install PV panels without causing any damage to existing roof tiles or slates. If however, in the unlikely event that damage is caused, we will repair or replace tiles (as necessary) at no extra cost.
Are you sure my roof can take the extra weight?
We will not fit any panels unless we’re 100% sure that your roof is suitable. Before installation we will carry out a structural survey and provide you with a written report about the state of your roof, which will be yours to keep.
Do you install Solar PV panels on public buildings, like schools?
Yes. It’s a definite possibility and we would be delighted to discuss your individual requirements. Please contact us.
